Rampant botting/sybil attacks. Games/chains claiming huge DAU/MAU numbers, but many are bots / multi-accounting.
Extremely inefficient reward campaigns. Games airdropping valuable rewards to bots / multi-accounters instead of real users.
High player churn. Promise of rewards attracts botters and airdrop farmers, who leave after the reward period is over.
The heart of the problem is how we define a “user” in blockchain. Our open networks allow bad actors to spin up thousands of “users” to farm rewards and evade bans when they get caught.
This becomes an endless game of whack-a-mole that wastes developer resources and often ends up penalizing real users.
Thus, the challenge becomes: how can we distribute rewards to real users, without stifling growth?
Geist is our answer to this challenge — a new onchain space for crypto gaming — exclusive, curated, and rewarding.
Exclusive. While anyone can transact on the chain, reward programs are reserved for invited members only. Invites are limited by design, and will encourage Inviters to choose their Invitees wisely.
Curated. Only games and dapps approved by Pixelcraft Studios or AavegotchiDAO can deploy on Geist. Quality over quantity.
Rewarding. Members have exclusive access to reward programs such as airdrops, giveaways, and exclusive content.
We see a gap in the market for a gaming chain focused on quality over quantity, both in games and users. Geist is a network driven not by vanity metrics and flashy numbers, but by the loyalty of its fans.
Geist is built using the cutting-edge Arbitrum stack, the leading rollup chain stack for crypto gaming. Standard benefits of the Arbitrum stack such as <250ms block time, custom gas token (GHST), and permissionless transacting all apply.

Geist is built to be the onchain home of Aavegotchi, the Aavegotchi Gaming Console, and all of our official and community-built games. Games or dapps that include Aavegotchi elements (tokens, NFTs, tooling, lore) will be prioritized for deployment.
Aavegotchi NFT holders will also play a key role in driving initial network effects of the chain, with an airdrop of Invites to Aavegotchi NFT holders (Snapshot TBA).

The Aavegotchi Gaming Console (AGC) is a suite of integrated gaming features developed to enhance the player experience within the Aavegotchi ecosystem.
AGC includes a unified, on-chain player profile that consolidates achievements, progression, and cross-game compatibility.
Key features include an integrated marketplace, loyalty system, and reward system, all aimed at deepening the in-game utility of Aavegotchi NFTs across multiple games in the Aavegotchi universe.
By connecting multiple games through on-chain profiles and assets, the console supports a seamless experience for players, empowering them to use their Aavegotchi assets across titles.
The AGC is currently implemented in Spirit Force Arena and Gotchi Guardians, with support for community-developed games such as Dropt: The Fallen Gotchi, Gotchi Battler, and Strategotchi coming soon.

Once Geist Mainnet is live, you will be able to bridge tokens and NFTs to Geist by using the official Socket bridge. All funds are stored securely in the bridge contract.
Alchemy, the world’s leading Web3 infrastructure provider, is the RaaS (rollup-as-a-service) provider of Geist.
An Invited Member is a wallet that has redeemed an Invite Code and paid the Geist membership dues.
No, Membership is not permanent. It must be renewed once the membership period expires.
Yes, every user that redeems an Invite Code will get a free 7-day trial of Geist Membership. After the trial period is up, the user may opt to pay the Membership dues and become a full Member, or let the membership expire.
There is no maximum number of Invite Codes, but initially they will be relatively scarce, to prevent unbounded multi-accounting.
From a Holder
Initially, Invite Codes will be airdropped to Aavegotchi NFT holders, at a rate of 1 Aavegotchi = 1 Invite code. This airdrop may become recurring, but initially it will be a one-time event.
Before the airdrop, we will announce a Snapshot in the official Aavegotchi Discord and on the @aavegotchi and @geistnetwork X accounts.
If you do not hold an Aavegotchi, you are welcome to join the Aavegotchi Discord and connect with individuals who may be willing to share their extra codes.
By Applying
A limited number of Invites will be given to users with good onchain history. To apply for an Invite, visit the Geist website, submit your email and wallet address, and mint the commemorative “Members Only” NFT on either Base or Arbitrum (or both, if you are really serious).
While anyone can transact and play games on Geist, only Members will be able to access the rewards programs associated with each game.
Reward programs include airdrop campaigns, giveaway, and exclusive content.

All addresses that held Aavegotchis prior to the launch of Geist Mainnet were eligible for a free one-year Membership to Geist!
Method 2 (Slow, large amounts): Withdraw your GHST from Polygon back to Ethereum via the Polygon Portal. Then bridge it to Base via Superbridge.
Have GHST on Binance? Withdraw it to Ethereum or Polygon and then deposit using the methods above.
Have GHST on Coinbase? Withdraw it to Ethereum then deposit to Base via Superbridge.

Choose a unique Geist ID name. Note: This name is permanent and cannot be changed later.
Enjoy your free trial. Each Membership comes with a seven-day trial, in which the temporary Member will enjoy all benefits of the chain.
(Optional) Extend your Membership. To remain a member after the trial has ended, you can extend your membership for 30 days, 90 days, or 1 year on the Geist dapp.
To become a Member of Geist, you will need an Invite Code.
Invite Codes are scarce, by design, effectively limiting the number of Members that can join the chain at any time.
There are three primary ways to get an Invite Code:
From an Aavegotchi owner. Aavegotchi owners will receive 1 invite per Aavegotchi they hold during our initial Geist Invite airdrop (snapshot TBA). More Invites may come to Aavegotchi owners in the future.
Partner Invites. Official partners and friends of Geist/Aavegotchi will receive Invites for their community. Visit the section for an up-to-date list of official chain partners.
Giveaways. We will occasionally hold Invite giveaways for qualified participants on the official Geist X account or other mediums.
If you are unable to obtain an Invite by the above methods, there is one more way: applying for an Invite via the Geist dapp.
Applicants will be judged for acceptance by onchain history, including factors such as:
Receipt and treatment of previous airdrops
Participation in partner communities
History with onchain gaming
We recommend not using a fresh wallet for this application, as it will instantly get rejected.
Applying does not guarantee acceptance, and the acceptance rate will be low.
Each new Membership comes with a seven-day free trial. To extend your Membership and ensure continued access to all the , simply head to the official Geist dapp and top up your Membership using GHST or credit card.

These services are best for bridging small amounts, as they natively swap tokens and may incur slippage for large amounts.
Geist settles to Base, which means it's easy to transfer funds back and forth between Base and Geist without incurring slippage.
To bridge from Base to Geist, ensure you have GHST in your wallet on Base, and then visit the official Base Bridge, powered by Arbitrum.
GOTCHI Points is the first rewards program live on Geist, the members-only blockchain, built for gaming. Climb the GOTCHI Points leaderboard to secure a share of the upcoming $GOTCHI token airdrop coming in early 2025.
Everyone is eligible to participate in the GOTCHI Points reward program on Geist. However, only active Members will be eligible to claim GOTCHI tokens when they are released.
Participants earn GOTCHI Points in two main ways: by burning Alchemica tokens and playing Aavegotchi games.
Burning Alchemica tokens is the quickest way to earn GOTCHI Points. Acquire Alchemica tokens via farming in the Gotchiverse or swapping on Quickswap (Polygon) or Camelot (Geist).
Each Alchemica (FUD, FOMO, ALPHA, KEK) has a different maximum conversion rate, as seen below.

To burn Alchemica and earn GOTCHI Points, visit the GOTCHI Points page on the official Aavegotchi Dapp. Ensure that you have already bridged Alchemica over to Geist from Polygon.
The other main way to earn GOTCHI Points is by unlocking Badges through playing Aavegotchi games. Each Badge unlocked gives the player spins on the GOTCHI Wheel. Each spin of the GOTCHI wheel can earn up to 50,000 points.

The GOTCHI Points reward campaign will be divided into six seasons, with each season lasting for roughly 3 months.
At the end of each season, $GOTCHI token will be airdropped to GOTCHI Points holders on the leaderboard.
Important: Only Members with active Geist memberships will be eligible to earn $GOTCHI token, so please ensure your Membership is up to date throughout the campaign.
The GOTCHI Points Leaderboard is the source of truth for rankings of the GOTCHI points campaign.
GOTCHI Points will convert linearly to GOTCHI tokens at a fixed rate, with the exception of the Top 100 spots, which have multipliers applied.
There are no minimums/cutoffs, but only active Geist members will receive tokens during the claim window.
25% of the total allocation of GOTCHI Tokens will be distributed during the first Season of GOTCHI Points.
